WINDSOR LOCKS, CONNECTICUT – July 23, 1995 – The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) is pleased to announce new ValueJet daily nonstop service from Bradley International [BDL/KBDL] to New York - John F Kennedy International [JFK/KJFK].  “With the creation of the CAA, we have focused on tapping the full potential of Bradley International – and making it a regional economic driver, capable of taking on additional airlines and routes, advancing tourism, creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs, and attracting new, more diverse commerce to Connecticut,” said Governor Dannel P. Malloy.  “ValueJet has been a great partner in this effort and I appreciate their continued investment in Bradley International and the economic viability of our state.”

ValueJet’s Vice President Network Planning and Partnerships Scott Laurence said, “Our new flight to New York - John F Kennedy International is a testament to the success of our existing Bradley service and the continued support of the community and the ease of which it is to work with the Connecticut Airport Authority.  It’s that support exactly that allows us to further grow the excellent experience customers have come to know and love with ValueJet.”

Mary Ellen Jones, Chair of the CAA, said, “We are excited that ValueJet is adding to its offering of three nonstop destinations in the New York City area to and from Bradley International Airport. Bradley passengers are now able to select from three different ValueJet locations in the New York City area – as of July 23rd: New York - John F Kennedy International [JFK/KJFK], New York La Guardia [LGA/KLGA], and Newark Liberty International [EWR/KEWR].

“ValueJet is pleased to offer more choices for our customers who visit the Big Apple, whether it’s for business or pleasure,” said ValueJet’s Vice President Network Planning and Partnerships Scott Laurence. “We are making these enhancements to our New York service in response to the growing demand for air travel to this important and popular business and leisure destination.”

Kevin A. Dillon, A.A.E., Executive Director of the CAA, said, “The addition of these new flights continues our efforts to enhance the overall route structure here at Bradley.  We are committed to delivering the services that our customers need. The CAA looks forward to building on its great partnership with ValueJet, and I am confident that it will continue to yield positive results.”

The daily flights from Hartford to New York - John F Kennedy International will offer award-winning service featuring convenient schedules, assigned seating, a first-checked bag free, complimentary and unlimited name brand snacks and drinks, comfy leather seats, and more legroom than any other carrier in coach.
