Sorting of start-up base

So I thought about having a search function or something similar to the selection of start-up base. I feel the combo box slider with thousands of options we have now is really too much, and I think it would be easier to search up either the name, ICAO/IATA, country, city or whatever, and then have a combo box with the airports matching the criteria in the search.

I like your suggestion. Maybe let people browse the "Rent Gate" pages and selecting one airport as their home base? That way they can also see competition and passenger numbers

Yeah, maybe that's an easier way of doing it.

Secret is you could actually do that now, to a certain extent.

Pick an airport as your base. Then go to the rent gate page and browse. After you have made a decision, return all the gates at your base and close the base. Log out and then log back in. The game will prompt you to choose a base again since you don't have one (and yes, this is for free).

Do note that although you could change your base this way, you cannot change your base continent, so you need to have a general idea when you first select a base.

And if you close all your bases on your home continent, it will ask you to open a base, even though you have a huge airline on another continent
