Hi!

To fly inter-Europe from Dusseldorf (which has 18 million pax), I would suggest the Boeing 737-600. It has a range of 1500 miles, which is enough to cover mainland Europe from Dusseldorf. It has a speed almost equal to the A319 while being slight cheaper. A drawback is that it has only 132 seats compared to Airbus' 145.

Long haul: Never anything bigger than 300 seats or €200 million. The best aircraft for long haul in 2000 is either B767-200ER or A330-200, depending on who you like most. Their capacity is equal, speed is almost equal, range varies between 6300 and 6450 for the A332 and 5200-7600 for the B762ER. For your needs I would recommend the 767-200ER. For Dusseldorf you would not be able to fly to many l-h destinations with profit, especially not with big planes.

Have fun!

I would recommend the A330-200. It is superior in pretty much every aspect, and doesn't go out of production so soon.

The 767-200ER has up to 7600 miles range while the A330-200 has up to 6450 miles. I would choose the 767 before the 330, even if it goes out of production soon. World 2110 is in year 2000, the 767-200ER goes out of production in 2006, if I remember correctly. That is much time. But they are almost as good as each other.

That depends on what variant you select. Either way, the A330 (regardless of variant) came out as the best choice when I last checked on stats. Besides that, flying over 6000 miles is bad for the economics. You don't earn enough.

I can also use 757-200(LR) for Midrange
