3152 posts in about 2.5 years. Lets see, we should reach post number 10000 in about... 5 years and 3 months. So that would be somewhere around Wednesday the 27th of March 2019, or the 28th if we count like Mathias. I suppose I will be a Captain with Emirates at the time, which puts me in a dilemma. What if I am out flying my A380 on that day? Will the A380s have wifi by then so I can snatch post numbers 9.999, 10.000 and 10.001?

How would you get three numbers in a row? And why would you fly the A380? The jumbo is much prettier :P

The 747 will be relegated to museums and Iranian airlines by 2019.

It would be fun to fly with IranAir on a 747-8i. Not something you would think happen right now :P

Nah. Iran Air won't operate the 747-8i. When the final 747-8i has gone to the great scrappers in the sky, there will still be Iran Air 747-100, 747-200 and 747SPs operating.

You never know. Maybe they wanted a new, modern aircraft?

In which case they certainly wouldn't buy American. ;)

Why not? They already have the 747, so they could just buy some used ones

Isn't the last commercially operating 707 also based in Iran?

Sorta correct. It is operated by the Air Force on commercial flights.

Wow... I wonder what kind of seats they have. Old or not so old?

From the photos I have seen, pretty old. And locally upholstered.

On an interesting note, most, if not all Saha planes (707s and 747-100s) are former tankers. At least one 747 still has the boom.
