Hey guys, I'm Chris, Just started a new airline up called Interlink, I work for  LCC out of London gatwick so this looked like a right laugh, i'm just a bit stuck about how some of this works. Why does the Price of the fare the pax are willing to pay go down as the frequency goes up, even if there is the demand for the flights still there?

Whats the best way to maxamise profits from a route that you are not competeing against anyone with?

Whats the best way to maxamise profits in general. Making a daily profit of around 3,5m after just 4 gaming days woop woop.

Oh and how do alliances work, didnt quite get that.

Thanks for the help guys

in other words, whats the advantage of adding more routes when your profit just goes down when you could be using your a/c on new routes with bigger profits?

for now, the reason yield goes down with additional frequencies is because it's loosely based off of available seats, so theoretically a 100 seat aircraft flying round trip has approximately the same effect as a 200 seat aircraft flying one-way.

That will be changed for next age, to get a little further growth into the game through frequencies (for now it's a little too flatline).

You'll find likely, more profit from monopolies comes from many .5-1 frequency routes, but later on when monopolies fail, more stability can come from higher frequency, larger aircraft as competition enters the picture.

as i said, it will be altered for next age accordingly to slow the game down a bit and bring a little more differentiation across multiple frequencies.

The game periodically resets, typically at present an age lasts 10 'years' (so from jan 1 1990-jan 1 2000~).

This age, being the 2000s, is slightly abbreviated (jan 1 2000-jan 1 2008).  So grow, expand, dominate, and such until everyone is whiped clean and the game regresses to somewhere between the 50s and 70s (depends on d1 here adding sufficient aircraft. don't bug him about it though).

Aircraft, fuel prices (loosely at present), and other data is based off of some amalgamation of historical data and some game considerations.

total reset, everyone starts over fresh every age.

at present, there's no lifetime stats for players across ages. sorry.
