Gates!

Okay in my focus city i bought a extra gate just to have to save trouble ya no!
and it got automatcily returned which made me lose the cash i used to buy it and i no longer have the gate!
i think you should be able to disable this feature!

i wasent sure wether to put this is suggestions or bugs!

Well, the feature, by the looks of it, did exactly what it should do: it returned an unused gate. It's created to prevent cheating, like leasing 211 gates at one airport to stop the competition. Even with one gate, it will flag and return them. And if you want to prevent cheating, it's not really gonna help allowing this feature to be disabled at will

As MrOrange said, the feature works prefectly. Send me a PM with the airport you tried to setup a base at. And next time, try and put atleast 1 flight out of there!

i didnt try get another base with my 1st base i had a extra gate just because when i do more routes i didnt have to go and get another gate if i ran out of slots!

could the feature be made to allow up 2 5 unused gates per airline? or arline for each airport?

Okay another prob! i bought 4 gates in romes Leonardo Da Vinci airport which i did to get another focus city!

now i have 4 gates and if there not all used on a certain time they will be returned and i will be after payin for them!

There's really only one solution: Use up 31 slots as fast as you can.

I dont have the planes to do that! my agtes have now bein returned and i ahve wasted so far 950000 on returened gates!!!

Really, there is no way around this other then not renting the gates.

I guess the point being is that you have to actually consider your DOP and your fleet before you go rent the gates to create the focus city.

Gates being returned is all part of this game right now. I have wasted more than 950000 on returned gates. I guess when the rules are her, we have to work around them.

but there should be some leeway because that is there to stp people buying all the gates in a airport which is understandable
should it not be if u have over 10 gates then this rules involves you?

say i use 10 different email address and 10 different connections (possible with net-cafe / wireless hotspots) and rent 10*10 gates from an airport with 100 gates....

Yeah, it sounds unlikely, but with exceptions like 10 gates minimum for the system to kick in, you'll get that stuff. So really, you should only rent the gates if you're willing to lose money on them, or have the planes to use up the slots. You could also have decided to create the focus city later on, after you had enough planes to create routes from the city.

And trust me, 950000 is nothing. I've lost over 1 million in one day thanks to returned gates, it happens all the time. Difference being that it doesn't make much of a difference with my budget :wink:

I don't even keep track of the gates that were returned

@pp_me; trust me, when the gates at your focus cities are being hogged, it would be much more inconvenient.
