A380's data is anyway wrong. The speed and the fuel consumption amongst the major things are wrong! Is there a person that could correct the mentioned faults?
What data do you have showing that it is wrong?

Fuel consumption is based on a formula I believe. Perhaps fuel consumption could be using real data where available - many aircraft are more popular due to lower fuel consumption...

only if you provide sourceS (not from Airbus or Wiki) that the data mentioned is faulty.

Why would data from Airbus be considered unreliable? After all, they did make the dang plane! (I don't like Airbus).

I tried to buy one in one world just for the sake of it, but the world finished before it was delivered. I think it would be reasonably popular, like the 747, so people can have the larget plane in the game.
But unless you are the number 1 airline in your world, the A380 is too expensive.

Not exactly, just don't buy a whole bunch of them. MX costs will be sky high if you do. MX costs could be anywhere from €100mil to €1bil and upwards.
Agreed. Maintenance costs will be very high. It would be a miracle if someone in AM would operate a large fleet of A380s.

You know how in the "ancient" days of AM where PW owners got to add $$$? The PW owner can actually add 1 trillion + dollars and forget about the fees!

But now, a tiny Cessna is better than her :(

Anyway, I like the change!!! :) :D
Sincerely, Mastafa

Hey everyone I am currently playing in Public World 1609 Will the A380 be available here?
And how about the Boeing 787 Dreamliner when are you going to add this aircraft in the data?

Thanks :)

I can't find world nr. 1609 in the select world menu. What date is it in the game, and how many year does it run?

The 787 will be added when they know when it enters service. 2010 or 2011. At the moment the game only runs to 2007.

Edit: Yes, the A380 will be available in your world, but only for the last year befor the game ends.

Because Airbus (And Boeing) are trying to sell planes, and often lie in order to market the plane as better than the competition.

Public World 1609 started 1993 with 15years running time However its now left with only 9 years remaining game years. The current date in this world is 15-Sept. 1998 (as of this posting) So do you think the A380 will be available here?

Thanks :)

1998 +  9 = 2007

The A380 is available from 2007.

I doubt Airbus data would be wrong. Airlines are hardly going to decide to by $100 millions worth of planes simply based on a few numbers up on the manufacturers website... If the numbers were wrong, I'm sure the airlines would be able to get their money back anyway.
In terms of fliers, they don't really care what the plane's stats are - they are more concerned about airline specific seating and scheduling.

Let's simply say that the stats on the manufacturers' websites could at times be different from those they file with the authorities. Some manufacturers are more reliable, while others, we have caught them having "seemingly questionable" stats on their website. Some even have multiple sets of specs for the same model of aircraft on their websites, in different sections and/or documents. That is the fact, and we are not here to speculate the reasons.

Please get back on topic.

I don't think it'll really be usable, really, since if the build time for the biggest 747 is any indication, it'll take more than half of the year to build.
