Dear AirlineMogulians,

I am a newby to this game as you can see. My home airport is Regina international, so I (not reading the guide) bought 4 gates. Now I am -$650,000. I also have a route that is 0.5 from regina to calgary making $12,500. I returned the not used gates but i guess i dont get a refund for them. MY QUESTION is do i make $12,500 every hour? Or do i have to reset the flight manualy every 2 hours

I would also like to ask, since Calgary gates are so expensive, does each city have a different gate price? I would like to not spend like 200,000 on 1 gate...

1) Yes, you are making $$$ each hour.
2) Yes, each airport have a different price depend on the passenger volume they have.

Although you have to pay more to fly to larger airports (providing competition is not an issue on the route), these airports generally bring in much higher fares, and so easily pay off the extra gate cost and leave you with more money than a route to a smaller airport.

I think the rental fees are:
$50,000 up to 1,000,000 pax
$100,000 up to 5,000,000 pax
$150,000 up to 10,000,000 pax
$200,000 up to 15,000,000 pax
$250,000 up to 30,000,000 pax
$300,000 up to 50,000,000 pax
$350,000 over 50,000,000 pax

Note that some border line airports are not at the correct numbers because their pax data has changed, but the rental cost has not.
