I know this is an old topic, but i had a "slightly" different suggestion.
I'm guessing the flight numbers are pre-assigned by the server taking the entire world into account.
I wanted to ask whether it would be possible to have the flight numbers assigned country wise??? It would lead to smaller number and would look/sound less odd than saying "Flight no AXB41253" etc.

PS: If mine is a repeat suggestion, I am really sorry about it. :-[

Thanks in Advance.

Good suggestion, though suggested many times before.

How about counted per carrier? This is a more common practice...Don't know if it's suggested before.

Yeah, that was what I was going for. Though not automatic, but user-entered.

I love your idea, but can it be automatically assigned if we don't want to be crazy for a number?
(i.e. if something special then we can also assign one for it)

I'm thinking along the lines of it being the same as the route ID (the current "flight number" you see in your screens), unless a specific flight number has been set by the user.

Please note: this is not a simple photoshop mockup, it's an actually working setup. (Except for the shadowy thing, which I photoshopped in so I didn't have to create two screenshots) Flight numbers can be entered when creating or editing routes, and will be shown on every page I can think of UNLESS you don't input one, then it will default to the route ID.

Any feedback so far?

:o I'm amazed at your digital art skills. I couldn't even dream of making such a mockup.

Anyway, its great! Been begging for this for about, 2 years? :p Perfecto, Rens!

Flight numbers have been added to the game. You can set flight numbers of maximum 5 characters, only one non-numeric character is allowed. Due to restrictions in how routes are stored, you can input only one flight number per flight, regardless of frequency. Otherwise, you are free to choose. You can also just not input a flight number.

Flight numbers can be set when creating a new route or when editing an existing one.

But is there any reason behind to make the flight numbers at a minimum of 3 characters?

Anyway, I appreciate the changes, but not for the current game, maybe the next one so that I can implement the flight numbers as well.

Ah, doesn't it feel great knowing the public really appreciates what you do for this game, and gives really constructive feedback but in such a nice way.

Now back to your question:

Hardly any. I'll think about changing that lower limit, nothing is certain though.
