I need someone who can speak German to proof read something for me. It's only 2 lines or so, so please pm me if you can do this.

I'm trying to advertise my site in German, and don't want to end up using a translator and it being "Come Walk Into My New Place" instead of "Come Visit My New Site".

I'm not that great with German, but I can try.

If not, AirHanoverInternational would be able to help as he is fluent and also lives in Germany.

Sorry, I was just making an assumption here, but would just like to confirm.

Would I be wrong in saying that the majority of Swiss people are German speaking?

Jan in German (and Dutch, for that matter) is pretty much the same as the English name John. Not female at all. :P

No, you're right.

Swiss German (62.7% till 72.5%)
French (20.4%; 21.0%)
Italian (6.5%; 4.3%)
Romansh (0.5%; 0,6% )

I read a page that said Swiss German was almost completely different from normal German  :'(

Can anyone speak Swiss German then?

thats true, as in germany the tv sometimes even synchronizes/subtitles swiss german people when they're talking

You do not need a "Swiss German". I would say about 98% of the words used by Swiss German speakers daily are the same as the regular German ones. Swiss German is more like a dialect (although some say it is a language itself) and the words are written like the Germans do.

The reason for subtitles on TV is for those people not used to that dialect. Imagine someone from Manchester going to Texas. May take some time for him to get used to his new environment.
