Bugs / [Not a bug] Plane has only 23.75 hours available

World 3
Plane ID 1378
Fokker F27-600

Calculating the block times of all routes, it only amounts to 22.96 hours. Initially, I had it planned for 23.92 hours, but when adding the final route, I could only get a 0.5 segment instead of 1 frequency.

I got a few more -600's, so I'll see if this is a consistent bug.

Hypothetical example...

You got yourself a BAe-146-100 and you're setting up a route from your 350k airport to a 300k airport. Oh noes! Someone is already on that route, and he's doing 3x @ €300 with a BAe-146-100! What a goofball! He should know it's a poor ROI to have more than 1-frequency on a route!

Q: What should you set your fare at?

A: NOT 1-frequency @ €300 or €299 or €299.99!  :x  :x  :x

99.9% of the time, you can charge higher since you aren't flying as many passengers to that airport!

I actually think it's people like these who help rapidly bring down fares between routes--even quicker than the multi-frequency people.

Do they seriously not even try to see if charging a higher fare (at 1-frequency) even works? Ugh.

Disclaimer: If you match frequency and fare, go for it. I won't complain about that (well, I have in the past, but oh well). It's part of the game, and I can live with it.

(Obviously, all bets are off when there are lots of competitors on the route doing all sorts of crazy things.)

Q: Same situation, but you don't have a BAe-146-100. You have a shiny new Fairchild FH-227D. What do you do?

Bugs / Newly added airports (less than 50k pax) are 50k airports

Airports most recently added that have less than 50k in passenger traffic are classified as 50k airports (with 50 gates). However, existing airports with less than 50k in passenger traffic are classified as 25k airports (with 25 gates).

Can you please explain why you do it?

Do you think you're making twice as much money with a 2-frequency compared to doing a 1-frequency? Three times more if you do a 3-frequency?

I'd like to know what your reasoning is.

Bugs / JFK-LAX + 737-200 Adv

JFK-LAX = 2472mi
737-200 Adv range = 2472mi

Yet, I cannot use this plane on this route.

I imagine the real mileage for JFK-LAX is something like 2472.12, but can we have it so that mileage rounds down to .00?

Game Data / Runway data

I absolutely appreciate the efforts of waerth and AirHannoverInternational in adding a ton of new airports (although most aren't relevant to me ).

In order to slow this game down considerably, we desperately need to get runway data for current airports that are missing such information so that runway restrictions can be implemented.

hpscot08 - Can you provide a list of airports that need runway data and a way to submit only that data if we don't have passenger data?

Bugs / buy_ac page : Displays wrong engine

For example...

On the manufacturer page, the Boeing 747-200 shows the variant with the GE engine. When you click to buy it, it shows the data and price when equipped with the GE engine, but it displays the PW engine in the drop-down menu.

This also happens with the 747-100, 707-120B, Comet 4, Comet 4B, and Comet 4C.

It doesn't happen with the 707-320B, but that's because all engine variants have the same data and price.

2360 has no one flying into there right now.

The View, Edit, and Close route links are missing in the Route Summary section for Leased In aircraft.

Close All Routes function is also missing.
