Game Data / Pago Pago Incorrect position

It would appear that Pago Pago in American Samoa is in the incorrect place. When doing a route research it shows as being 3553 mls from Auckland to Pago Should be approx 1800. Even worse it shows as being over 1000 mls away from Apia which is on the same island.

General Chat / Editing route and load factor

Quite often I have noticed that when I edit a route with a low load factor and I just click on update information the load factor changes without altering the fare. Sometimes this can change from say 75% up to 100%. Or I can lower a fare and press update then gradually work back up to the same fare for 100 % load factor. Is this by design or a bug? It is a little frustrating as marketing research fees are charged each time.

Ah so that is the secret. It cant be flying routes. I was hoping that it could fly up until point of sale.

Just curious about the stats for the F27-100 and -500.
The F27-100 shows as having 52 seats and was phased out in 1978 and cost 7,882,964 euros
The F27-500 shows as having 40 seats and was phased out in 1987 and cost 6,041,550 euros
When I flew both aircraft types many years ago the -500 was a much superior aircraft and had 48 seats versus the -100 which had only 40. This made sense as the -500 was longer and more powerful. It was also faster.
I cant comment on the other models but I do believe the -600 was a bit of a dog.
It seems like these stats might be a bit confused.
Just my .02 cents worth.

Just wondering what effects the passage of time has on the game so that I can plan for it.
Does it have any effect on:
1. The fare price that can be charged Ie. inflation and still maintain load factors.
2. Gate rental.
3. I assume as new aircraft types come into existance that the price is set accordingly.
4. Any other effects?

I hear what you are saying Stephen but how would one even know that this was the case (50 x gate fee). This is really elementary stuff that I think really should be in there from day one. Some gates are very expensive and to have to buy 4 of them only to find out that a base is going to cost you an extra 50 x the gate rent fee is just untenable. This should be mentioned somewhere prior to having to fork out for the gates and their inevitable return.

Why is essential information like this not in the manual?
50 X gate cost is one of the biggest costs in the game and it is not mentioned anywhere. I have wasted huge $$$$ on this and have had to return 8 gates as a consequence. Is it not time that the manual was revised or embellished a wee bit? This is my first round and I do not have the benefit of previous experience.

Is there anyway of finding out what the cost of a new hub or focus airport will be without first having to rent the gates? I have rented gates only to find that the cost of the hub was way too high.

I am unable to get the destination drop down box to display destination airports. It just lists the departure airport and that is all. Any ideas why?
