They have heaps less than other decent long-haulers (A330/340/777/747). The DC-8 is way too old! Even with newer CFM56 engines! :D
Once again, it boggles the mind people actually play this game based on brand and looks instead of pure stats.
Really? It boggles my mind to think people play it based on stats.. Where's the fun in that? Why fly 400 examples of a plane that means absolutely nothing to you?

Maximum profit with lowest maintenance costs.

Yeah and how is that fun? There's no skill involved at all to play AM, just too much time.

Agreed!
I don't have much experience with the game but in W12 I operate alot of transatlantic 752 and 763 flights which both do me good. :)

After a lot of experimenting, I reckon the best aircraft for my situation is the
B767-200ER!
It combines great range for a good price. I've experimented putting the B767-200ER on routes vs B767-300ER and the A330LR and the profits gained from these bigger aircraft are only marginally higher (10k?)
for ULH routes, I'm going with B772-200ER.

I like the Ilyushin Il-96-300 in W-10, but maybe solely due to the fact that I am the only operator of those aircraft. I have two of them in service, and they make good profit out of my hub in TLV. I also have 2 777-200ER for ultra-long-haul, but the profit was so bad, that I now use them on high-density-short-medium-haul-routes.
An interesting option for semi-long-haul is to use the ATR-42-300/320, as both have range > 3000 nm. They cost very little in purchase, fuel, and maintenance. Although they are very slow and only have 50 seats, they can still make a bundle on routes with little competition.
