Suggestions / Bigger logos!
« on: January 30, 2015, 05:17:31 pm »
I know this might be a suggestion that could make the servers explode, but how about bigger sizes for logos! Instead of the current 300x90 pixels (which makes logos look blurry), how about something bigger? Maybe 1500x500 or something similar. :D

Flight Simulators & Online Flying / Airline Mogul Steam Group

Dunno if this is the right forum, so please move this to a place where this is better suited.

A while ago I decided to create a Steam group for Airline Mogul, mostly due to discussions with 1993matias and Zach21GF about Europa Universalis IV. So if you'd like to be a part of this tiny community, you should!

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/airlinemogul/

The group is currently set to invites only, but don't hesitate to contact me or anyone else that already are members if you'd like to join. :D

Airline Branding Center / Norge's Centre for Logos
« on: September 26, 2014, 07:39:31 pm »
Hello! I'm Norge and I'm here to provide you with some logos for your airline! With my basic Illustrator and Photoshop skills, I will try to make a logo that meet your requirements, and if you're not happy, simply tell me what you want changed! I won't stop until you're satisfied with the product.

A link to your airline is not necessary, but feel free to do so! If needed, I can also make logos with non-Latin writing, but please include the text you want in the logo in the description as I have no knowledge of any language using these writing systems.

Flight Simulators & Online Flying / Flight Sims on Mobile
« on: September 07, 2014, 06:00:06 pm »
This forum has been dead for two years, but here I am to revive it! :D

I've been looking for some flights sims on the Google Play market lately, and I've found some interesting ones.

One example is the developing team called RORTOS, which have made some nice games, and for free as well! Though they're mostly demos and have their own paid version.

Suggestions / Sorting of start-up base
« on: August 01, 2013, 05:46:39 pm »
So I thought about having a search function or something similar to the selection of start-up base. I feel the combo box slider with thousands of options we have now is really too much, and I think it would be easier to search up either the name, ICAO/IATA, country, city or whatever, and then have a combo box with the airports matching the criteria in the search.

Just my 2ยข :)

General Chat / Fluctuating airports?
« on: April 30, 2013, 02:02:41 pm »
I've played AM for some years now, but I still wonder what the fluctuating airports mean. I see the option is disabled, but if it was enabled, what would the functions be, and how would it affect AM?

What about something that counts your yearly passengers numbers, turnover, expenditure and net profits/loss?

And, maybe also fleet size, foundation date and staff numbers?

Airline Reports / Melbourne Airlines (PW# 2148)
« on: December 13, 2011, 02:56:56 pm »

Date at time of writing: 23 February 1974

Right now you are reading the news centre of Melbourne Airlines, Australia's new airline. Melbourne Airlines was founded in January, serving as the biggest Melbourne-based airline at the present time. Ensuring a vision of a large, domestic airline, Melbourne was the perfect place to start a promising new airline, and to expand further into our beloved Australia.

Future plans

With our two Saunders ST-28, we plan to buy planes with a bigger number of passenger, range and speed.

In the far future Melbourne Airlines plan to open hubs in Perth and Adelaide.

Status

We are now the third largest airline in Australia (and the world) in terms of value, and current the largest airline in terms of passengers served with around 640 passengers each day.

MAL's fleet:

| 2 (1) Saunders ST-28

*Brakets indicates orders.

Base status

Serving fifteen destinations from Melbourne, we are Melbourne's largest airline with a market share of 31.1%.

Ok, yesterday, an Orbit Airlines 747 stood parked at St. Maartens Princess Juliana Airport.

Spot the jumbojet.

Then the baggage handlers came.

A few minutes later the plane was taxiing to the runway.

Then the Orbit is lifting off...

But only just.

Airline Reports / Mandela Air (PW 1924)
« on: April 27, 2011, 02:27:18 pm »

South Africa's new airline commenced operations for three months ago. The name is Mandela Air, named after the famous Nelson Mandela, the former President of South Africa and a man against racism. We are pleased to wear his (sur)name on our flights.
We are based at the South-African airport OR Tambo in Johannesburg and all current routes are based from the largest airport in Africa. We are very pleased to operate low fares and high service to the many people of this continent.

Here are our "start-up" routes, quite cheap?

MDA 100 Port Elizabeth -- 2 times a day, € 99
MDA 103 Durban -- 2 times a day, € 110
MDA 107 East London -- 1.5 times a day, € 124
MDA 108 Cape Town -- 3 times a day, € 102
MDA 112 George -- 2 times a day, € 90
MDA 200 Nairobi -- 2 times a day, € 160
MDA 207 Harare -- 1.5 times a day, € 127
MDA 208 Dar es Salaam -- 1 time a day, € 232
MDA 217 Lusaka -- 2 times a day, € 105
MDA 220 Mombasa -- 1 time a day, € 230
MDA 235 Windhoek -- 1 time a day, € 186

We are that lucky to have 5 airplanes for all of our routes above. One of them, ZS-AAE, have a clear message: Against HIV/AIDS. The disease is a major problem especially here in Southern Africa, so we are planning to lease ZA-AAE to airlines all over the world, spread the message.

ZS-AAA (Airbus A319), \"The Mandela Pride\"
ZS-AAB (Airbus A319), \"The Freedom\"
ZS-AAC (Airbus A319), \"Evelyn Ntoko Mase\"
ZS-AAD (Airbus A319), \"Winnie Madikizela\"
ZS-AAE (Airbus A319), \"Against HIV/AIDS\"

The name are symbolic, according to us. The Mandela Pride is our flagship aircraft. The Freedom represents freedom. Evelyn N. Mase and Winnie Madikizela is Nelson Mandela first wives. And our special plane, as we said above.

The further fleet plans is undecided, but a small regional jet or an Airbus A318 is planned to be used on our new routes. There are not many big destinations to fly to here in the south.

All For Africa!

I need some help. I have just started a new world, PW#1783. Early age of Aviation. I sat the game without password, but when I was at the World Admin Area, I accidentally clicked Change Password and then my world got a password.
If there any possible option to remove the password?

General Chat / The Word Assosiation Game
« on: September 27, 2010, 01:07:27 pm »
This is a game that is very easy. All you have to do, is to write what you think of when you hear a word.

Example
Person A: Cow.
Person B: Milk.
Person C: White.

Person A starts it all, with the word cow. Then Person B types the thing he thinks of when he hear the word cow, and he types milk. Then Person C will have to write what he thinks of when he hears the word milk. Then he writes the word white. Then Person D continues by typing the word he thinks of when he hear the work white, etc.

I can start!
