Game Strategy / Thoughts on Business Jet

I am using Business Jets 737-200s with 707s for long haul. I started with other regular 737-200s but I am only using two of them and sold the others for the 707.

Thoughts on if this is a good idea?

so after a ton of tuning on my new computer i built this is what i made

when i get home tomorrow i plan on editing another one on the 12th a windows 7 update came out to help 8 core processors it really helped with fsx so expect another soon :)

I am building a computer to play fs with anyways which would be better i am very limited on cost so i am stuck.


I can either get the AMD FX 8120 (8 CORES!!!) with a motherboard that has onboard graphics    ATI Radeon HD 4250. (With this option i have to wait till my birthday for a new graphics card.)

Or i can get the AMD Phenom II 955 Black edition, with a GeForce GTX 550 Ti Video Card.

Looking at the specs with the same graphics card the 8 core is pulling about 10fps more in most games. Is it worth the extra $150 or so in the future or should I just buy the 955 and call it done.

They both = to about $20 within each other, and I am not sure if it is worth waiting when i could get the 955 and beast out now :P.

I personally am a Captain in the 757 with ratings including the crj700, and md-88. I am currently going for my a330 rating, with a overall goal of getting a340 with Delta Virtual Airlines.

Suggestions / Changing fuel prices/2011 2012

I think that prices of fuel should change throughout the years. For example you could find a chart online of the average fuel cost for the year 2000 ect ect ect. I could be wrong, but i think the price of fuel stays the same throughout the game. Also ticket prices are really messed up, who in 1960s paid 1,000 for a ticket.

Game Strategy / Long Haul?

I am looking into doing LongHaul, what aircraft should I be doing it with? I am in the year 2003. I have tried the 747-400, but they took so much fuel, I just scrapped them in favor of 777-200ERs. Should I have gone with Airbus A340s or what?

Suggestions / Advertise

Although this is not a ingame idea, I think this game has more potential. What about advertising on a website that relate to flight sim add ons. I understand this cost money, but what about allow addons on your site to generate income to advertise on other sites. Then offer a program like 20 paid tokens = no adds shown.

Suggestions / Some realistic touches

A few ideas to make the game more realistic is different pricing. Example 1st class cost more then the nubs in the back. Or executive jets being able to charge much more per person due to the space, and the fact of what kind of aircraft it is. I find it extremely unrealistic that someone would pay $1000, to ride 200 miles in a beach 1900. Ticket pricing should also be based on how far the aircraft has to go, which ties in with the $1000 a piece for 19 people to ride 200 miles. By adding this in the game it adds a realistic touch, slows growth, and allows long haul flights to being more profit by comparison which in reality ticket wise is true.


Another idea would be to allow staff control. Figure how many flight attendants are on the airplane. More service could allow more customers, where if you have a low level of service, you are less likely to be as popular. Marketing could be changed by putting more money into marketing you are putting your self out there, bringing in more people, or less if you go the cheap route in a attempt to save money.

Aircraft Maintenance cost can make or break your bank, but what about pre cautions such as having more mechanics. By having more full time mechanics, and scheduled maintenance less parts will break causing a surge in cost. It is not very realistic to have a sustained cost, for example one beach 1900, nothing goes wrong there should be no fee out side of having it inspected which could tie in with hiring mechanics. But with lack of maintenance something could break causing a major repair needing to happen which could cost $20,000.

More aircraft, i saw alot of different things on adding in classes of seats, but what about adding in options when you order the aircraft such as more expensive interior. Instead of the base seats lets add tvs in the back of every seat. By having a nicer aircraft it could tie in with adding in a "popularity" of your airline which could inturn go with my suggestions above.

Game Strategy / Save or Spend?

I am new to the game only joined a few hours ago. So far I have two routes, Hartsfield - Jackson Atlanta International to Mobile Regional, and Hartsfield - Jackson Atlanta International to Jacksonville International. On the first one i am running a VardaxServ-Aero Hotter, and the second Beech 1900D. I am leasing the vardaxserv for $300,000. Here is my total "monthly" revenue €1,657,259, while €902,657 is my projected cost, and here is my projected earnings €754,602. Should I save up and lease a larger jet aircraft, and run a semi larger route for example to new york, or continue to lease cheaper aircraft, and run small routes.
