General Chat / Owed to Monster Energy (with a few pics :D )

Do ya love it? Hah? Do ya? I do. And to prove my love for Monster energy drinks, I shall show you a few pictures of me with my friends in Dublin City University today. (It's the only place people my age can hang around without being accused of robbing something )

But anyways! If you have had, or have heard of Monster... what do you think of the lovely stuff? Oh, and what flavours are available?
Over here we only have Original (which I call green flavour), Ripper, and Lo-Carb.

Hey guys, just thought I'd drop a note to let you all know, I'm still alive Everything is going well here, but exams are drawing ever nearer! 

But anyways, I wanted to see if any of you have bebo and take this typing race thing to see what you get, because apparantly I'm faster than 92.8% of bebo at typing...

General Chat / Core 2 Quad or Core 2 Duo?

Hey guys, a little debate running between myself and a few of my friends, so I ask you, which do you think is best overall; the Intel Core 2 Duo, or Core 2 Quad?

I myself have the Core 2 Quad, and it performs excellently, but how does the Core 2 duo stand beside it?

General Chat / Vista and Internet SOS (Need help)

Right guys, I've re-installed vista on my new hard drive (750GB)

All the drivers are installed for the motherboard etc.

I'm connected to the internet, but IE nor Firefox can browse it, because 2 networks are running through my LAN

I have no idea which network is which, but both are connecting. Windows reccomend i disable one network, but, hey-presto, when I disable one, it disables both. Oh, and If I try to Merge or delete one network, the two of them still remain.

Any ideas on how to fix this, guys?

On My slow-as-hell laptop here... totally amazed im able to type this :O

Ever hear of it? You haven't?

Its a suprisingly enjoyable online game, which has over 2 million registered users. If you click the link above, you a referred by me, and you will get 500 poe (Pieces of eight, the in-game currency)

The game is simply built; You do puzzles. Various puzzles complete various tasks e.g, on a pillage on board a ship, you would have Navigating, Sailing, Bilging, Carpentry and Gunning. When you come across another ship and attack it, you will enter Swordfighting (Tetris) or Rumble (Like that game you get with linux)

Then after your long pillage, head to the Inn, where you can have a drink and play some poker, swordfight, trade etc. How to make money? Simple. Join a crew (Mine is "The Killer Kings, but I will be starting my own soon if people want to join ) or Open up a shop! You can even purchase your own ships, going from small to unbelievably massive.

What are you waiting for? The party's started at Y!PP.

• • Passworded? (Discuss password thru PM)

• • Range of map (E.g; full world, Europe + North America etc.)

Hey everybody, just wanted to post a little thread about a band I think I'm managing, Dynamic Daydream. They are said to be like "The Doors" and "U2" Recently, they have released their song "Meaningless Dictionary" to YouTube. Of course they have many other songs on their new album, which is yet to be named. Not only do they recreate classics, but have a host of their own songs.

The album is €3.50 which in my opinion is pretty good, considering I paid for it If anyone wants a copy, let me know, I might be able to give a small discount for AM players

General Chat / The Irish Postal Service + Komplett

Right, so I'm sitting here gawking at the ever changing outside world, just waiting for my fixed computer to be returned. I sent it off on the 19th of June, so a month has passed, and it should be here by now. I live down the road from a post office, and down the road from Kompletts distribution centre. Komplett said I could not simply drop in the computer (because it was faulty) at the distribution centre, that I had to post it to them, so it could be forwarded to the Netherlands, to diagnose and fix the problem. So basically, I paid €30 for my computer to go from one end of the road, to the other. When I left it off at the post office, I got a tracking number. The website said it was in the post office. Fair enough.

The next day, I wake up, go to my slow as hell laptop and check the website again. Still at the post office. "Well, I should give it some more time" I thought to myself. At the end of this day, its still at the post office.

Next day, same story, still there! How long could it take to drive a computer, two miles up the avenue?

Next day, "Delivered". Komplett should receive it in three days.

A week and a half later, Komplett are happy to email me that its finally there. It will be fixed in two days.

They call me in to their offices in Blanchardstown, explaining the problem, and offering me a refund or a replacement. Obviously I go for the replacement. The next week I receive an email that the replacement is on its way, that it had been fully tested, and with BurnInTest. Alright.

It arrives in Dublin on the 16th of July. Things start to move on the 18th. Now its the 21st. I was assured it will arrive today. And here I am. Waiting.

So the moral of the story is, if you live in Ireland and your buying from Komplett, don't buy for Komplett.
