America World Airlines has launched semi-daily service to Flint, MI today.  The new flight will operate on a semi-daily basis from New York.  Semi-daily means that the arrivals from New York will operate every other day.  The flight will arrive Flint the day before it departs back for New York, and then it will continue that way.  After the plane departs for New York, the next arrival will take place the following day.  We are proud to expand into Flint!

America World Airlines has added nonstop service between New York City and Gulfport/Biloxi, Mississippi today.  America World Airlines previously served the area through our Raleigh/Durham Hub, but pulled out due to schedule constraints.  With new daily service, America World Airlines offers the cheapest fares to New York over all of its competitors and without a layover.

America World Airlines has announced the retirement of all Yak-40D jets based at our hometown hub of New York-Kennedy Airport.  All routes served on Yak-40Ds will be replaced with larger, more efficient airplanes with more seats available.  The unused Yakovlev jets will be sold off to other airlines so they can develop as well as we did.  During the time that we had these airplanes feeding into New York, our airline grew to new heights, and now we are ready to let them go to other airlines so they can feed their hometown hubs.  The Yak-40Ds based in Raleigh/Durham, Denver, and Tel Aviv will continue to operate their normal flights until we can accurately replace them as well.  These smaller jets will begin their retirement over the next few years and our next phaseout of the aircraft will be in Denver.
