New York-JFK Based America World Airlines
CEO: Evan Kisseloff

Main Hub:
New York-John F. Kennedy International Airport (New York City (Jamaica), NY) [KJFK]

Other Hubs:
Raleigh/Durham International Airport (Raleigh/Durham, NC) [KRDU]
Chicago-Midway Airport (Chicago, IL) [KMDW]
Denver International Airport (Denver, CO) [KDEN]
Dallas Love Field Airport (Dallas, TX) [KDAL]
Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (Paris, FR) [LFPG/CDG]
Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv, Israel) [TLV/LLBG]

America World Airlines began operating in the early 1970s with a fleet of 2 Boeing 737-200s with its first flight from New York-Kennedy Airport to Daytona Beach, FL.  We quickly expanded to include nonstop flights from New York to Chicago-Midway along with New York to Raleigh/Durham, which soon became major hubs for America World Airlines.

America World Airlines joined the Global Skyways Alliance, which quickly helped to expand our product to many new locations.  As a result of our Alliance Membership, America World Airlines began to build up a presence in Denver by launching daily service between our Chicago hub and the mile high city.  America World Airlines quickly added flights from Denver to other cities in the Western Half of the United States.  After seeing progress, Denver became our fourth hub.

Soon after, America World Airlines (AMW) decided to take its chances overseas, and we acquired our first Boeing 737 Business Jet, which would launch our all business class service between New York and London-Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom.  During that time, AMW built up a hub in London and started flying to other European destinations such as Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Rome, and Barcelona.  After a re-evaluation of the European market, AMW decided to close its hub at London-Heathrow, therefore temporarily pulling out of all European Markets.

Recently, AMW decided to take a new approach to their European presence and decided to start new nonstop service between New York and Paris.  AMW established its current hub at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, bringing a strong Global Skyways presence to the city.  After upgrading Paris to hub status, AMW reinstated much of its service to the European Cities that previously lost service after the pull back at London-Heathrow, though AMW still maintains daily service to London through both Heathrow and Gatwick Airports from Paris.

Currently, AMW maintains a strong presence in Florida, with daily service to Jacksonville, Pensacola, Daytona Beach, Orlando, Melbourne, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Key West, Sarasota, and Tampa.  Out of these Florida cities, AMW maintains a large presence in Daytona Beach, with nonstop service to its hubs in New York, Raleigh/Durham, Chicago, and Denver making it Daytona Beach's number one carrier in terms of available seats, number of flights, and number of nonstop destinations.

In addition to its large hub at Kennedy Airport in New York City, AMW also provides daily service to LaGuardia and Newark, the other two major New York City Airports, as well as Buffalo and new service to Islip, NY.  AMW provides daily flights from LaGuardia, Newark, Buffalo, and Islip to both Chicago and Raleigh/Durham.

This thread will bring you up to date with Press Releases from America World Airlines.

AMW has launched new service from its hub in Paris to Stuttgart, Zurich, Milan, Manchester, and Madrid today.  In addition, we have also reinstated service to cities that were dropped during our pull down of our former hub in London.  Those cities are Edinburgh and Munich.  We are thrilled to have these European cities back on our route map, and we are thrilled to have expanded to many new destinations in Europe as well!

Now Serving Both Portlands!

America World Airlines added Portland, Maine to our growing list of destinations a few years ago.  Today, we have added daily service to the other Portland!  Nonstop service to Portland, Oregon began today with one daily flight from our hub in Denver.  America World Airlines has decided to concentrate a majority of its growth in the United States for a while in order to give as many travelers in our country as possible the access to one of the fastest growing airlines with hubs in three continents, and known now as New York's Hometown Airline with headquarters at New York's Kennedy Airport.

America World Airlines Named Daytona Beach's Airline of the Year, and Official Airline of the Daytona 500!

America World Airlines is being recognized as Daytona Beach's Airline of the Year this weekend.  CEO Evan Kisseloff is now in Daytona Beach, Florida for the weekend to take part in the Volusia County Owned Airport's celebration.

Daytona Beach was the very first destination served by America World Airlines a few years ago as we started operations out of New York.  Citing the need for local air travel, we have added more flights to other America World Airlines hubs.  Currently, America World Airlines serves Daytona Beach from all four of its domestic hubs!  America World Airlines has also been named the official airline of the Daytona 500, which is the most important race in NASCAR.

Airlines that currently serve Daytona Beach are:
America World Airlines with nonstop service to New York-JFK, Raleigh/Durham, Chicago-Midway, and Denver
Spherion Airways with nonstop service to Atlanta, Chicago O'Hare, and Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW)
United Airways with nonstop service to Atlanta
SouthAmericana with nonstop service to Miami
