 Is there a way to make props work?

 I've tried in the past to run a Commuter airline and it just fell completely apart. This using aircraft no larger than the Beech 1900.

 Gate costs completely killed it, even at the small airports with around 1,000 passengers.

How many flights per day did you do? More than one lowers the hourly profit on the aircraft. And with all airports smaller than 1.000.000 passengers costing the same, you're better off flying to medium-sized airports

 I started with 1x then hen i realized i was losing money i dropped it down to 0.5x

You were losing money? Which routes? How big were the airports?

 They were small airports, less than about 10,000 pax.

 When I said Commuter, I meant commuter, small airports. Indianapolis was my largest airport, and the hub of my operation.

There's your problem, the game isn't geared towards commuter operations, sadly. You could make a normal airline which would support the small commuter airline?

Yeah. I had played Indianapolis as my starting HUB once, and regretted it.  LOL   It is either a 2nd or 3rd level airport, definitely not an airport you want as a FIRST hub.   

I only use airports with a MINIMUM of 65M passengers, preferably closer to 70M-81M+, as my starting airport in the game. By doing that, I have no problem even running small jets to airports with only 10k passengers, at 500 miles OR LESS. I can make 40k-55k, which is sweet, as most would normally ignore those smaller airports, and just try to fly to medium-high passenger airports.
