In a recent press conference at the airline's offices in London, Tyron Ross, RossAir Global Group CEO, announced that the company had placed firm orders for a total of 7 Airbus A330-300LR aircraft.

Citing efficiency, passenger comfort and dependability over medium and long-haul routes, Tyron Ross seemed confident in his decision to go the Airbus route, despite fierce competition from opposition manufacturers.

As the launch destination for A330-300LR services, Dubai will now be connected seamlessly with the rest of Europe by being served from both the airline's London Heathrow and Paris Charles De Gaulle hubs.

With services expected to commence in mid-February 1996, the daily flight from London will depart at 20:15pm local time from Terminal 3, arriving in Dubai at 07:00am local time the following day. The return flight will depart Dubai at 09:40am local time, and will arrive in London at 13:35pm local time on the same day.

At the time of going to press, the Paris-Dubai, Dubai-Paris and other A330 schedules had not yet been announced.

Other possible destinations to be included in the A330 schedule are New York, Washington DC, Miami, Atlanta, Toronto, Cairo and Istanbul.

"The launch of A330 services have been delayed by a month, and are now due to launch in early March 1996." said RossAir Global Group CEO Tyron Ross, in a recent press conference at Airbus HQ in Toulouse.

He refrained from citing reasons for the delay, but rumor has it that crew training has taken longer than expected, leading to many believing that more destinations have indeed been planned for.

Love them or hate them, RossAir Global have some really exciting times ahead!
