4.6 mill with some planes on the way.

Do not underestimate the Skyvans I am running .... they make 100.000 to 150.000 a day with one running 170.000 almost :) Damn good turnover for such a small and cheap plane! But my F28's proof to be the best running at 400.000.

Yes it is an extremely fine plane. I can't wait to have more of them. I am looking for routes suited for the F28 and I have found 8 planes worth of routes for it. So anyone wanna sell their F-28's to me?I am willing to pay 2-3 mill above marketprice if I can get them immediately!

I made the mistake of leasing a B737-200 2 days ago. Never got it above 200.000 DOP. While my Caravelle does better and so do my Argosy's. So no 737 for me.

you should try the DC9-4 and Convair 580, they are good planes too.
Are you in an alliance or do you go free-lance just like me?

Same here. Until the competition came in...

@waerth
Agree with you. Caravelle is cheaper than the 737 at almost the same performance

LOL and you are telling me this when I have finally figured out my short and Medium Range fleets ..........

Here is what I will be going for this game:

As you can see a mainly Fokker/Sud Aviation fleet (I consider the Fairchilds to be Fokkers) The Shorts are very good on short routes. The Pilatus I keep in for the roleplaying part as I intend to connect every airport in MAINLAND SEA from Bangkok. And many of them from Hanoi as well. But from Hanoi there are a lot of <300 potential routes which you can really only fly with small planes like that. So they are mainly based in Hanoi. I have entered 50 new Indian airports which means some low potential routes might show up from Delhi as well. So there will probably appear a few more in Delhi later in the game.

Anyway the fleet:

Short distance: <800 nm
Low Density: <300 pot             1.1        Pilatus PC-6-C1/H2 Turbo-Porter      599      9   €765,166
Medium Density 300<>1000 pot   1.2         Shorts SC.7 Skyvan               609   18   €2,095,661
High Density 1000<>2500 pot     1.3      Fokker F27-500                       816         40   €6,041,550
                                         Fokker F27-600                 655   44   €5,804,004

Medium distance:800 nm<>2500 nm
Low Density: <300 pot             2.1
Medium Density 300<>1000 pot   2.2         Fairchild Hiller FH-227B                      2678       56     €11,236,347
                                         Fairchild Hiller FH-227              1612   52   €9,095,261
High Density 1000<>2500 pot   2.3           Fokker F28 Fellowship 1000             1242     65   €22,169,970
                                        Sud Aviation SE 210 Caravelle Super 10   1667       104    €30,007,622
                                        Sud Aviation SE 210 Caravelle 12        2363   128   €47,555,248

I see you have already completely figured that out. I have, too, well almost. however i think i'll consider my medium/sort fleet for range up to 1800nm only.
There is another issue: i am not so sure that you ll be able to stick totally to your fleet plans. Let me tell you why:
Once you are able to go long range(even more than 3000nm), you will certainly buy medium/high capacity planes to do the routes. the things is that these planes will always have some time left(around 2/3 hours out of 24). ANd you sure don't wanna lose that, so in my view it can be really rewarding to ispatch these high capacity plane even on quite short routes, just to entirely fill and use the plane potential.
So far i havent started longhaul so i didn't have yet the need to bother with it, but things happen very fast. And it's not useless to have high capacity planes on short routes to face competition.

I have opted for the Convair 580, DC940 and one or two different types for my medium fleet, and I still have not a single idea on which plane I'll choose for long haul, there are so many.
