Largest airline in the world, by revenue, is KLM-Air France. They will become the largest in passengers also next week as the purchase of Alitalia was announced today.

No point boasting about how many pax you fly if you can't make any money....

All the international american airlines are subsidised and have protection from competition by hiding behind Chapter 11 and restrictions of foreign ownership.

Its just what I am taught in college for business, question everything, never sit idle. Always re-invent the wheel, if something is doing well, how can you make it better?
