Multi World Update Thread

I'll post the changes made for multiworlds here just to keep everyone informed of progress.

Step 1: Splitting up users (This means we re-introduce activation email and a few other changes) it will have absolutely no effect on game play currently. This is largely complete but still some work to do here. We expect to implement during the reset.
Step 2: Manually go through all files and make changes as appropriate to the database queries. (This has to be done to over 200 files)

You really need to use PHPDocu if you want to keep a very accurate picture of what's been edited and what's not been edited, even if it's just for yourself.

It's saved my sorry behind many times ;)

But at least you're taking the initiative to document changes, unlike people at The Blandsite

in multiworld can you choose what one to be in if not you will be spliting up alliances and if yes what will they be split up by?

Alliances will be split up by the world you are in. And worlds will be optional with something like a world for every 1000 players (So if we have 3000 players we will have 3 worlds) plus a variety of short games, possible scenario based games and premium only worlds. Just to re-itterate, there will always be free worlds.

oh that will be good then so there wont be as much competition and will there be  the same amount of gates in each world?

I don't fully follow. How long after the reset will multiworlds be out or?

Game resets on the 22nd and restarts on the 23rd. Times are TBA for the moment as we may require testing in between.

That'll be what private worlds are for.  multiworld public will beat out multiworld private however. [just the way it goes. if we have it private why wouldn't it be public?, however. if we have it public it takes modifications to turn it private... :P]

private will allow for password protection and/or individually set player caps [we'll provide suggested levels for most combinations... however. we may fly in the dark guessing on a few of 'em.]
