Disclaimer: This post is written as my contribution as a part of the AirlineMogul team.  Many online games have their own staff who post tips/strategies on their own forums, in order to provide a high level of customer service.  This is one of them.  I shall not be liable for any possible inaccuracies in this post, or any financial loss that may be incurred as a result of this post.

There are 4 official brokers in AirlineMogul, and many more "unofficial" ones.

Fact 1: The unofficial brokers are more expensive than the official brokers.

Fact 2: The unofficial brokers order planes from the official brokers.

Fact 3: Combining the above 2 facts means an unofficial broker is simply a middleman who charges commission.

Fact 4: It is possible to order planes through the official @ -10%. (*edited by dktc*)

Fact 5: *an official broker* offers 7%* off, which is still cheaper than the typical 5% discount you get from unofficial brokers.

Fact 6: Unofficial brokers become useful when order books for the official brokers are full.

So for the best deals, use the official brokers!

official brokers don't process your orders as fast as the unofficial ones -- which is why i use an unofficial broker for all of my brokering needs.

And the fact that he gave me a free plane on my first buy and sells super connies cheaper than anyone else i know...

how come they give you a free plane, once that there's a minimum price?

To anybody who wants to help a new player:

1 - why official brokers' leases are more expensive?
2 - how can I buy from a broker? going on view/buy>request?
3 - Isnt it cheaper buying from the open market>aircraft on sale?

Wow, 10% off of a pretend airplane.  Is it really worth the hassle of figuring out how a broker works, giving someone else a cut and saving what is likely not that much compared to your daily income?

No, that is not worth it. Just two clicks a couple hours of wait is too much to save 1/10 on new planes. Don't use brokers. They are cutthroats and you are just wasting your time. You could edit one route by not ordering through them.

1. Official brokers' leases are NOT more expensive. It depends on the plane type and the broker. Now, the non-official "so-called" brokers (which is a complete GAG), those are expensive. Thing is most official brokers are even doing leases anymore because we can't get much profit, if at all from our low rates.

2. Yes, for new airplanes. Select one of the above listed 4 brokers (well... only Orange and Skylite are really taking order as of now, because I am off for a vacation, and Hampo is off somewhere as well) in the dropdown box. Also,

3. Those are old/used planes. And no, it depends which model you are talking about. The larger planes, they are sold at mark-ups (ie more expensive).

That is for those so-called brokers.

The official brokers deliver brand new planes to you at 10% discounts.

But yea, we make $$ out of you. Don't order through us, ever.

(this is not an ad, as in we are convincing players not to buy from us).
