As I have said, don't ever order through brokers. It is only 800k off a 8million plane. No big deal. Freak them sharks making money out of us.

The machine-that-costs-over-300-million (if you want the -ER) for which a 7% discount would be more than enough to justify the use of a broker

No, it wouldn't. (If people want to pay more, why stop them?)

Agreed.

Anyways, if you really want that 747, it feels so much better if you know you bought it yourself, and not from some shoddy middleman who gets cash from selling the planes for you for less. I only use brokers when I need them quickly (eg: tomorrow). That's another reason for using official brokers: if you get them at the right time, or if you're always in good business with them, you get your planes the time you want and at the price you want. :)

Unofficial brokers buy from official brokers, so you might as well skip the money-earning middlemen and go straight to a more reliable source.

yea, but 747's aren't out yet, so we have absolutely no reason to use an official broker at the moment

Oh, there are strategic reasons for using official brokers to your advantage.  However, I cannot reveal my own trade secrets!

Erm, no, it doesn't. IIRC, the normal 747-4 costs 288 million or something, while the 747-4ER costs something like 325.

A fair thing to do would allow Offical Brokers to get new planes before the rest?

Like an offical dealers can take orders first?

There is no way a company would let unofficial brokers profit when the chosen few are losing out.

Could add a whole new dimension to the game, arilines rushing to be the first the run new planes etc.

Guess it will be a while for that Airbus 380 eh?

I still don't quite understand it.. official brokers are more expansive then when you buy it by using the purchase option in the game? So either the brokers are too expensive or the game ones are too cheap? :P

No, not quite. Official brokers offer prices of -7% or -10%. That means 7 or 10% off the normal market price, which is the price you pay when ordering from a manufacturer. For instance, if plane A has a market price of €100.000.000,- the official broker will offer it for €93.000.000 (-7%) or €90.000.000 (-10%).
