i picked comet because i just bought one :roll: i looked them all over before i bought though, so its kinda accurate

well duh!  I've got i think 7 martins-more than any plane in my fleet.  :D

The only thing the Martin beats is the Comet.  Players vote with their Euros, and the money is on the CW20.

Yes, but the CW-20 has been in the game since the start.  The Comet just showed up.

It all depends on your strategy and what else you have in the fleet.  I emphasize high aircraft utilization, so speed (more routes on a plane) is more important than range (long flights = lower aircraft utilization).  That's why I picked the Martin.

The price increase and drop in seat count for the Comet isn't worth the speed gained.  I can get 2 Martins for the price of one Comet, but the Comet's not twice as fast as the Martin so the two Martins can do more routes with more seats.

The Curtiss probably won't sell too many more since the Convair 340 has it beat in every category but range, and using a 50-seater on a 1700+ mile route doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Using a CW-20 on long routes can work, and work well.

However i agree that the CV340 is probably going to clean it's clock, i'm getting great returns out of my fleet already  8)

 :lol:   In Europe, you're probably better off with Comet due to the proximity of the cities.  In NA, I like the extra passengers and range (though lower speed) of the CW-20, not to mention being 6 million cheaper.

I'm going to phase them out for something better though.  Now that I'm a Mogul.   :D

I've stopped buying anymore CW-20's.  It's day is past, indeed!

ive got all three brands now--no comet-1s, only comet-2's, and i like jets.
