I've heard rumors that buying an A380 increases the airline's value.
Is this true? If so, by how much?

Airline value is calculated by the overall value of your aircraft and the money you have (and probably some more), so buying an A380 will not increase your value.
But it will increase you maintenance costs!

Yes it does! Never buy A380's. It's a waste of billions ;)

Plus, by the time you can order them, they'll take a long time to be delivered and you'll only have them for a short time. It's pointless to try.

Go for the A330-300 for your largest plane. It's a nice large plane with decent range.

I stick with a 102 seater, but thanks for the help.
I have virtually all my assets in cash (162 billion) so I was wondering what to do with it on the last day - buy a few hundred A-380s or buy several thousand of the cheapest aircraft available. I thought the A-380s increased value, so I was leaning towards that. On the other hand, a fleet size of 280,000 sounds attractive :P (plus and extra 259 every hour...)

On the last week of a game LONG ago, i ordered a few thousand An-2s. I must have had the biggest fleet at the time. Not bad for Turkmenistan Airlines, even considering it was back when we only had 1 or 2 very congested worlds.

Haha very good! The A380 does raise your value but when you use it you lose money and therefor your value goes down. So just buy them at the end of the game as a final sprint.
