Seat count: Airbus models have seatcount based on full economy class/max capacity. 737s apparently are not, and this should be ammended:

737-100: Game - 96 RL - 124
737-200: Game - 124/130 RL - 130
737-300: Game - 134 RL - 149
737-400: Game - 159 RL - 188
737-500: Game - 122 RL - 132
737-600: Game - 132 RL - 132
737-700: Game - 149 RL - 149
737-800: Game - 184 RL - 189
737-900: Game -? RL - 189
737-900ER: Game -? RL - 215

Sources: Boeing, Airliners.net aircraft data, wikipedia, all cross checked with each others.

I found the ranges for the 737 family, from a respectable source. Flight International, 4-10th September 2001 has a review of all the worlds large airliners. I'd dare say this source is as good as it gets.

737-200 Adv:
1598 nm, option for 1997 nm

737-300:

1614 nm, option for 2586 nm

737-400:
2159 nm, option for 2497 nm

737-500:
1798 nm, option for 2996 nm

737-600:

3050 nm, no HGW option

737-700:
3261 nm, no HGW option

737-800:
2937 nm, no HGW option

737-900:
2742 nm, no HGW option

List prices in $ and (€), 2010:

737-600: $51.5 – 58.5 mio (€36.6 - 41.5 mio)
737-700: $58.5 – 69.5 mio (€41.5 - 49.4 mio)
737-800: $72.5 - 81.0 mio (€51.5 - 57.5 mio)
737-900ER: $76.0 - 87.0 mio (€54.0 - 61.8 mio)

Source: 737.org.uk and Boeing

The 737NG in game is very expensive, and as a result everyone is ordering hundreds of A319s and A320s. If the prices are lowered to the ones i have found, there will be more diversity in the fleets. Also more realistic. At the moment in the game, the A32X family is cheaper AND has much better performance, which is very unbalanced.

I suggest that the seat count, range and list price is modified in-game.

I agree.

I have 31 738s in fleet replacing many jets, although they are expensive, they are prooooofitable

Boeing Trouble-maker is back (thats me)
I remembered that in Boeing's pdf it saids all the above Game data as 6-abreast seating and what you have mentioned is actually the limit posed by FAA, which is based on number of exits (I think ??? )

I don't understand? All 737s nowadays come with 6-abreast seating.

The limit set by the CAA is for 189 passengers, which has nothing to do with seating configuration.

that is becuase 6-abreast seating is the maxium seating you could get into a 737 (unless your seats are unreasonably narrow or just becuase youre running ryanair). It is impossible for some older planes (737-100, -200 for example) to get the FAA-exit number of seats (normal seats) into the 737.
That is why a 737-100 could only get as much as 96 seats (with 16 rows, i suppose) yet the FAA-exit limit is 110 or just shy of it (I forgot :-[)

Hope you can understand my explaination....
or...
FAA-exit limit is more like a speed limit. You cant get over it for safety reasons but you can go under it. Suppose 75 miles is the limit of the road but your car could only go 70. Then there are no way that you could reach the speed limit. It is same case for some of the older 737s. Theyre allowed to put as many people as the FAA exit limit but they just didnt got the space for it. ;)

I don't think you quite understand it. The limit says 189 on a 737-800. That plain and simply means no more than 189 passenger seats. You can fit 7-abreast seats if you want, but you will still be limited to 189 seats. The limit is based on the number of exits available in an emergency.

Besides, the point of my post about the number of seats was that the too-common, too-cheap and too-capable Airbus jets have maximum seating, while the Boeings for some reason don't.

I have been on enought 737s to know that a 737-300 will easily seat 149 passengers with 2 emergency row seats missing. And that a 737-500 will easily fit 132, and a 737-400 will fit 188.

What about speed?  I find it interesting that the 737-200 Adv HGW can supposedly fly 500 mph, while the non HGW does 498 (I think), and the other 737s are somewhere in the 430s.  They all have the same wing, and all -100s and -200s have the same basic engine types, so what's with the speed difference?

I don't have specific data handy (and I don't know what source you used for these numbers), but I recall the 737's reputation is being somewhat slower than its rivals, so I really suspect the 500 mph speed is wrong.

There's an engine variant on the MD-87 thats got a similar 500mph anomaly. I will have a look at the data again this week.

Regarding the seats, AM uses the highest number of seats actually put on an aircraft, not the maximum theoretically possible (hence many large long haul aircraft have lower numbers of seats than they could - as all the users have had first/business sections). I suspect Boeing would likely publish the maximum legal limit (and the other sources probably used Boeing's data). Can you find a seat plan or similar from an actual airline?

Regarding the prices, they are generated by a script, based on the plane's stats.

Jettime, a danish charter operator:

148 seats on the 737-300

http://www.jet-time.dk/en_US/about-jet-time/the-aircraft.html

Batavia air, 144 seat on the 733, 168 on the 734

http://www.batavia-air.com/etiket/?page=fleets

Webjet, 148 seats on the 733

http://www.webjet.com.br/empresa/novosite/v3/aeronaves.asp

Norwegian: 148 seats on the 733

http://www.norwegian.dk/en/about-norwegian/our-company/flight-operations/fleet/

BMIbaby has 131 on the 735, according to sources. Can't find anything on their official website.

Continuing:

Lion Air, 169 pax on a 737-400

http://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=20101102-0

Turkish Airlines, 168 pax on 737-400

http://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=19940827-1

Adam air, 148 pax on 737-300

http://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=20070221-0

TAAG, 136 pax on a 737-200

http://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=19840209-0

So i have found the maximum real-life capacity to be (not including crew):

737-200: 136

737-300: 148

737-400: 169/168

737-500: 131 (This one is hard, BMIbaby has nothing on their website, and i can't find any operators who haven't got 1st class installed)
