Hi there, interested in your World.
I currently run a Private World (my first) and have some info for you.
Please understand I am only imparting experience and in NO way wish to influence or change your private World set up.
For a full World running so long 10 players may be too little. Part of the cut n thrust of a game is competition (not cut throat or unfair) but the more players involved keeps all Airlines interested.
Many players here like to operate 'real' airlines in the early stages, keeping to real bases, however will look to the FOREIGN bases they can open in future to -
A. Connect their network
B. Expand beyond their natural Airlines home
C. Start new and exciting routes and grow.
For example, the World I own, real Airlines MUST open in their REAL home base, the 2nd within their Continent, after that all players are free to open where they like subject to foreign base rules and allowance.
So, looking at YOUR World proposal, If I were QANTAS (which I would gladly join as) My home base would be SYD. The next MEL then as QANTAS have a base in London, LHR would be next.
If your base count would allow for that I would be happy to join, as I think many others would.
Other things to consider -
10 year Worlds will mean at LEAST 1 complete fleet renewal
As a World owner, you will be drawn into some players disputes and spats, so if you have friends that play, include them as it drastically reduces in-game problems.
Some players will become inactive, you will need to set a rule guideline that all players agree to BEFORE they join.
