How age you consider that is necesary for sell or scrap an a/c?

Hi I have a Embraer that is 2 years old , 2,835 cycles , and 5,378 airframe hour.
What age you consider that is better selling the aircraft because , more old aircraft=more maintainment cost.
I am not sure if replace it or wait until the a/c have 3 years old.
Please Help

If it's just one aircraft, and you have less than 100 routes, then definitely keep it.
If you have a whole fleet that's 2-3 years old, then you'll want to start replacing it.

I never scrap an aircraft. Say I have a 4 year old plane with say 80 seats newbs that dont have anyclue what they are doing will still pay good money when they see the same plane at 6 times the price. I know when i started I didn't think about maintanence costs.

What if it's something like a J61? There are hundreds on the open market, lots of which are at minimum price. I just scrapped 10 J61s as I couldn't sell them.

That is the only way right now. A better way will come in the future.

i also didn't know for maintenance cost of old planes.

is there any advice about tracking these costs per plane? or all of them appear on maintance fee page on finance?

when a plane is old ? is there any possibility of mechanical failure and plane grounded?

You can't see how much each plane costs for maintenance, just the fee for all of them together.
There are no random events like mechanical failures or groundings.

I have 10+ 777-200ERs which are about 7-8 years old and need replacing, but I'm just too lazy to replace them... 
I'm not sure how high their MX costs are, but they would be pretty big!
