Any error message? Does it start to install? If so, where does it quit?

Are there any other Adobe products installed on that machine? If so, try to uninstall all of them and re-install them, starting with Photoshop. If this doesn't help, I am also stuck, Adobe support might help...

Ok, your advice didn't help but after some 3 hours of Googling I fixed the problem.

Well I have the 30 day trial now, I'm making banners for a living now, hopefully I'll make enough to buy it. I had flash 8 before which I got "another way". But I didn't have a use for it really.

I got Studio 8 (Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash Paper and a few others) for €130. It was fantastic, Student Edition.   Then Adobe took over and bang goes affordable software.

Adobe software is so bloody expensive. I'd love to have photoshop but I'm tired of getting stuff "another way" so I decided to use Gimp instead.

Adobe targets professionals, not home users. Their software is top-notch in most respects, and although they are f*** expensive, it's worth the money if you really plan to _work_ with their products.
