Airport Characteristics?

Sorry all, stupid noobie question here (I don't get suspended for slamming myself, right?)

Are real-world characteristics of airports considered here?  E.g., while in real life the largest aircraft that can use SNA is a 752, can a 744 use SNA in AM?  Or, can a flight departing LGA fly beyond the 1500mile legal max or whatever?

Alright, after a few days of game play, reading the wiki and perusing this forum, I have a couple of questions:

1) Does having flights between hubs affect your DOP in a positive way?

2) Do connecting hubs via an outstation have a positive affect? (E.g., you have hubs in LHR and CDG, and both have flights to BRU)

3) Do flights to/from co-terminals affect passenger traffic? (E.g., would someone adding a JFK-ATL flight affect your LGA-ATL flight?)

3. No  :lol: Airports are independent.. so LGA-ATL wouldn't affect JFK-ATL

I don't know about number 1 and 2. I might be wrong, but im guessing they don't.

1) If you mean by giving you a higher DOP, yes, just treat it like starting any other route.

2)Yes, it would make sense to get the most money you can make at BRU, because you still pay the same gate lease cost, but make twice as much.

3)No.
