Can you make bases on other continents????

No!!!! :P

The only way to fly from other continents is through alliance bases.

Simple answer: no.

But you can create routes from your alliance bases (if you already joined one) and if the maximum number of alliance flights from that base has not been reached yet. You only need to rent gates there and start your operations as usual.

I'm sorry but I dont think that is right. I am based in the philippines, which means I have to make my second base in teh philippines not in Japan where I wanted it. what is the motivation behind making a second base in the same original country?

Not the same country, the same continent. You can move to Japan. You cannot move to Switzerland.

So that means i can fly from my alliance member base, ie paris etc, all through Europe?

Yes, but if you compete with you alliance partner it will probably piss them off. Try to do routes to places they don't fly to from their base.
