believe that Uniteds new rule is good? It is that now you secound check-In bag cost $25 from once you could take two free check-in bags. This is because the raise in fuel cost.

Nah... they just want more money. First they implement the weight limit. Then people start bring 2 pieces instead of one so they would not go over the single piece weight quota. So the airlines figure they are not getting as much money as they could have and they eliminate that second piece of luggage so everyone have to pay more.

Even if I paid for tickets, I wouldnt mind becuase it only effects people who arent in milage plus or arent star alliance card members AND havent payed full fare prices (I think).

On both Aer Lingus and Ryanair it costs for every bag you check in. On Ryanair you also have to pay to check-in conventionally. I think the US is catching up on more widespread trends here. (In terms of large airlines)

Actually, what it said in the e-mail was that it doesn't effect people who have STATUS in milage plus. So if you are a plain old blue card holder it effects you.....

I've always been wondering why for flight to the US you can carry 2 luggages and more than 20kgs. Compared to the rest of the world, you're mostly allowed 20kgs and 1 luggage.
But i love the way CX allows flight to America to carry 2 luggages at 32kgs each!!!
I really bought a lot of things!! Meanwhile when you go to Europe you're only allowed 20kgs. :cry: It's even worse if you're travelling to the UK, Connecting at LHR with even one hand carry is too much troublesome. I'll check in all my things next tiime!!
