Airline Mogul - See my airlineBritish Aircraft Corporation and DC Xpress have signed a deal today 3rd March 1969. Both parties have agreed terms on the expansion of its European Fleet, resulting in a minimum of ten new BAC 111-500, with options on a further 20. The airline and BAC are undergoing talks for the replacement of its current European Fleet, which could result in a total of thirty four new aircraft.
Recent months have seen the airline undergo a rebranding after the senior partner in the airline retired, leaving new Chief Executive and Director General, David Cummings to take full control.
The airline currently has four 737-200’s, three Sud Caravelle SE210’s, one Fokker F27-400, and a Boeing 727-100 executive, each of which are being scheduled to be phased out during the deal with BAC.
The first of three new BAC 111-500’s is due for delivery on the 15th March, second on 21st March and 21 April respectively, the remaining delivery dates are still under discussion.

DC Xpress is believed to be in talks with rivals Boeing and Douglas to replace its 727-100 with a long range high capacity aircraft to increase its capacity on the first and only Trans Atlantic run from London Heathrow to New York.
The airline is expected to use its new long range Aircraft to run to other far reaching destinations.
