Type: Edit Route
Description: When trying to edit route a message says: Invalid Airports selected, please go back and try again.
Airline Details: British Caledonian- 24170  [PW#452]
PW#409 - EruoConnect
PW#452 - British Caledonian
PW#721 - Global Airways
PW#1049 - South African Airways
PW#1075 - Ryanair

Do you have slots available at both airports? Do you have enough hours on the plane (I'm not sure if that will cause this error)?

Seems unlikely - for one of the routes the gate at one end has 4 slots left and at the other end 5 slots.  The plane is a bit tighter it works two routes but still has 35 min left after the other route and the bugged one.

Both routes are Alliance routes, but since I was able to open both then that should not be a problem either...

Oh, I thought you were opening new routes. If they are alliance routes, this error can come up either because you have left the alliance or the owner of those hubs has left the alliance. If either of those happen, you can't edit the routes. You'll need to close them. The message could probably be a bit clearer.
