Look carefully. I'm releasing gates by the shedloads.

Besides, there are plenty of gates around. Some airports have 60+ available. More airports have gates than not.

It's not really that bad, and I wouldn't consider it saturated, of the 547 routes I fly, only 4 or 5 with competition seem to be below 100  Euro, and of those, only 2 or 3 seem to be unprofitable. If you based out of a larger city, I think you should think smaller insted of bigger for bases, those get saturated quickly. I'm based out of both the Soviet Union and Europe too, and its not bad at all. Possibly at TXL, LHR, GTW, Orly, CDG, FCO, MAD, SVO, DME, Barcolona its bad since those tend to be major hotspots for those who think it's a quick buck due to it's larger passenger number, but thats is far from the truth, that is where a lot of Saturation happens. Perhaps it's time to think about flying smaller planes to smaller airports, trust me, there is a whole ton of routes that usually get ignored and it can make you some good cash (not exactly a 50K profit, depending on where your based of course), even those airports with passenger numbers below 50K pax especially if you base out of a city with less than 5 million passengers since the competition that tends to fly to every airport in a 500nm radius tend not to be there.

You should consider some of those below 5 mil. You can still make a good profit off of those airports and 1/3 of the time you don't even have to deal with competition. Besides, not every airline can fly to AMS, not everyone can fly to LHR, not everyone can fly to VKO.
