I couldn't live without FSPax  :D

Agreed 100%

i still use FS9 and i am very happy at the moment

I have the entire fresh! fleet on FS9

though i think i could keep my current desktop for FSX, i have a great graphics card and i can keep around 70fps on FS9

I now have all macs and no PCs so I don't play them any more.

Another Mac fan!  Yay! :D

all of our computers are crap so FSX doesnt work on any of them.  FS2002 barely works!

Thanks for your opinions. Seems that I made the right decision staying with FS9 - buying FSX would not be the only expenses. My laptop is not suitable for FSX and my PC has still an AMD 800MHz Athlon processor inside running WIN98.

Exactly what I wrote :)
A guy in another forum said I was an idiot when I told him FSX cost $2069.95 to buy

It really rocks, especially now where they've released version 1.0 and you can go multiplayer.

FSX is definatly the better option if you have a £1000+ Homemade PC (ie. no Labour costs) or Dell £1500+ (DESKTOP) also if you know where to get addons from cos the original planes on fsx are rubbish. but if u have a less than £1000 PC then there is no point with FSX and stick woth FS9 with many addons and high FPS
eg. my £1200 homemade pc gets 112 FPS of FSX on full graphics   :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  whereas a friends £900 PC can't handle it on low ish graphics abd unreliable FPS
