Updated data on 2 existing airports.

Although Oman seems to have more airports none of them receive regularly scheduled traffic. So Oman stays at two.

I know that.. What I meant was that it's amazing that Nakichevan, Marka in Jordan and Kutaisi in Georgia recieve scheduled traffic and all put together would be much smaller countries than Oman, while Oman; having found at least 6 new airport's did'nt get any of them squeezed in.. simply amazing. Anyway's thank's for all the progress waerth.  :)

I am checking it through a site that has all airports with commercial traffic listed and lists all the routes that go to the airports capacities. They have all the tiny airports in the pacific available and every little hole in Africa (which I intend to do next). So I would assume that if there is commercial traffic to airports in the middle east they will have it available. Proof is Yemen, which got many airports listed.

I actually found one more for Oman ..... there is a military airbase with regular flights to Dubai and to Muscat with Oman Air and Iran Aseman Airlines ....

I usually do not check the military bases as they normally do not have scheduled traffic. But I selected view all airports in Oman and this one popped up. But there really is no other airport with regular traffic there even though:

Gives you more.

And now look at the Oman Air destinations:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oman_Air_destinations

They currently only service 3 airports in Oman ..... and we will have 3 now :)

Now also look at their former destinations. That is where you will find 3 more Omani airports that they do not service anymore! And since Oman air is Oman's only airline .....
