Cos I'm all alone, there's no No's here beside me. I guess there's no real interest for No's as people who don't have one generally don't know what they are and don't click the thread.

your not alone. i still haven't figured out what the heck IRC is, and i'm just happy with the forums.

Just a chat thing, like MSN etc but has been around alot longer and runs through a server. So it's like a conference thing. Where as instant messaging is direct so the only chat logs are on the involved computers.
