thats... actually pretty small compared to some places online.  There's a forum i know with 2283 registered members online at this moment.

Peak and "normal" number of people can differ greatly.  There *may* also be a loss of interest in the game.

It could also have been something that happened to the game that made alot of people come here to discuss/find out about that (eg: server move, downtime, reset...)

im automatically logged in whenever I visit the forums and I never log off or need to click on any buttons, would that still be logged?

it checks activity, if you do something on the forums in the past X minutes (i think it's 5) you're on the list.
