-Cheaper Lease rates
-Cheaper Sales rates
-Possibility Of Alliance Routes

Are all benefits of alliances although some alliances offer more than others so ensure you join the one that suites you best.

Just want to point out cheaper lease and sales may not be true. You don't need to join an alliance to get those and joining an alliance doesn't mean you would get those. It depends on how you deal with other players, and specifically the 4 official brokers in this game.

Alliance routes and alliance hub effect on your own bases are the only official advantages.

Other side / unofficial advantage includes strategy consultation, technical support, group negotiation with the brokers, organized actions (against certain users :?: ) and several others, but these all depend on which alliance you join. We have some very organized ones with full support and benefits, as well as others in which their own members fight against one another. So... choose wisely.

Do you get a noticible load increase?  And what is the benefit if you already fly to many of the same ports?

You get up to 20% increase in load, and whether it is noticible... not really. It is only 20% afterall, not 200%

If you fly to the same airports as your alliance members do, your alliance is disorganized. So yes, there is no benefit at all.
