Newbie with flight problems seeking helpful advise :)

Hi All just started playing a few days back on PW2160 (Russ Air)

I started out with London Luton as my starting point and over the last 3 days have managed to beg borrow and steal 4 aircraft that are plodding about Europe slowly.

At Luton I have 3 gates with Planes flying to 21 Different destinations. However my gate Utilisation of these 21 Airports across Europe is minimal (10%) one flight into each which seems a waste.

How is it possible I can start a 2nd Hub (ie Manchester) flying to these destinations to make them more utilised ?

Any help will be greatfuly received. Also apologise if I'm missing the obvious, or posting in the wrong section.

You shouldn't be concerned about the 10% use. If a gate costs 300 000 and a route to that gate makes 100 000, you will earn the gate in three months, leaving 21 months to earn profit.

When progressing, consider opening a new focus city near your first one, so you can get the most out of your current gates. But for now, concentrate on expansion.

thank you for the advise. However im a bit confussed (again) what is it you mean by "focus city" ?

Also if I lease a plane is the for example £1.5m lease rate a monthly charge or a one off charge ?

Focus city = hub
In AM, it would be considered the same.

When you lease a plane, you pay money when you first lease it and then afterwards once monthly. So in your example of 1.5m lease rate, you will pay 1.5m at the time of receiving the aircraft, and then 1.5 million each time the month changes until the plane is returned.
This means it is most economical to lease a plane early in the month.

I would suggest you to take a closer look to the in-game manual, but it seems to be missing an article about leasing. But don't worry, it will help you far reading in the manual!
