Delte Airlines and Delta Connection Launch Operations

1st January 2003

Towering water jets were present at both Orlando International Airport and Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport, as Atlanta based Delte Group launched service on 41 route upon taking delivery of 10 Airbus A319 turbojet aircraft, nicknamed "Microbus." The A319s were immediately put on service to multiple destinations within the continental United States.

Delte Connection operates all services from Orlando under contract for mainline Delte Airlines; whose primary hub is in Atlanta. The Atlanta hub has already become the world's largest and busiest, with 55 flights a day to 27 destinations. At Orlando, we operate 32 flights a day to 10 unique destinations. In all, Delte Airlines runs 87 flights a day to 38 destinations serving more than 24,000 passengers every day.

At the launches, Delta Airlines corporate spokeswoman Martha Stewart had this to say; "I am proud to associate with an organization that upholds my high standards of integrity."
