I'm having trouble finding suitable aircraft in 1983.

I have DC-9-21 and DC-9-50, but I'd like something more modern. I took a look at the BAe 146-100 and -200, but they are too slow and not as big as the DC-9-50.
The sizes are 90 (DC-9-21) and 139 (DC-9-50) passengers, around 2000 miles range and a speed of 485 knots.

I like the 146 because of the low price, but they are painfully slow compared to the other a/c.

Aren't there any other options? Preferably modern planes.

Also, even though money isn't a problem, I don't like Boeing because of their high prices. But maybe they're the only solution?

NOTES:
I'm selling out on my Fokker's and my BAC-111.

I'm simulating a realistic airline, therefore the high frequencies (I'm not a noob :P)

I would recommend taking a look at the 737-200. It ranks higher in every category

 Boeing 737-200 Adv. HGW   130   500   2761   0.52   P&W JT8D-17R  855   €55,963,184
 Douglas DC-9-50               139    443   2064   0.56   PW JT8D-15     871   €49,483,877

I know, the Russian aircraft are best xD

But I'm trying to make a typical Scandinavian 80's airline. Maybe just stick with the DC's then?

How about a typical Scandinavian 80's airline if the Red Army reached Jutland before the British in 1945?

SAS had DC-9s, MD-80s, DC-10s etc. Norway decided it wanted to be an outsider, and ordered 737s. Maersk Air had 737s of almost every type, and even a few 707s. Sterling operated 727s, 757s and 737s. Cimber operated a mix of the strangest aircraft they could get their hands on. But yeah, DC-9s were dominant, and still are. How about the MD-87?

The MD-87 isn't out before '86, I think. I'll replace my DC-9-50's with it, and the 21's with 146's.

Thanks for the help!
