User Account/Private World problem
PW #948
Missing tokens, but not in PW anymore.
Last night I joined PW948. Today I logged into the world. I viewed the world's home page, clicked on Airline Value, then I was taken to one of my other PWs #818. Now I am not joined in PW948 at all, but I am missing my 30 tokens I used to join it.

Hello,

Thanks for posting so much information, it really speeds these processes up. I just checked and confirmed 30 tokens were deducted from your account but it didn't seem that you were in the world. I have no added you to PW#948.

Thanks

OK,

No apparent response niether here nor through the PW 948 manager. The world is now full, the hour and a half I spent setting up my airline is down the drain. The next question is:

¿ Will I get my 30 tokens back ?

Thanks

Right, after doing some initial investigation, if it was a problem with the joining system your airline would still be in the world. Since all details of your airline are gone, I am guessing that it was deleted.

I have looked at the logs and I can see that the world admin for that world was on the delete airline page. From comparing who is in the world and who paid for the world, we have 10 people in the world but 14 people joined. I will email the world admin and ask why they have deleted the airlines and suggest using a password in the future.

Thank you for the investigation & feedback, StephenM.

I am 100% positive there was no problem with the joining system. I had 15 routes providing a 1,100,000 DOC with 2 planes. That is what probably disturbed the world admin, who by the way, would need something a step further than a suggestion to use a password.. Maybe some kind of apology, I tried to contact him politely 3 times.. Either of the following would have ended this situation.

- An apology from PW 948 admin
or
- My 30 tokens back.

Thank you again for your time and interest, StephenM.

Please understand that a private world owner is a player, who is not on our staff. We could not force hm/her to apologize.

I do understand your point, dktc, but I would more than understand (appreciate) some kind of protocol to avoid these kinds of behaviors.

¿Is it absoulutely free if I decide to create a PW for hundreds and then start deleting them? ¿Thousands of tokens down the drain?

Please don't take the impression I'm looking for controversy, I'm just disappointed with a flagrant ripoff with no repair nor consequences whatsoever. It's just a game, I know, but still a ripoff.

Thank you,

regards.

When you join a private world, you are joining a world managed by someone else. They are allowed to do these kind of things to people in their world if they choose (remembering they used tokens to create the world). If you want to avoid people doing this to you, either join the world of someone you trust or join one of the Public Worlds, managed by the AM staff. It might be an idea to try and contact the owners of worlds before joining. Ultimately, they can do what they want with the power they are given to delete airlines (whether or not it is a nice thing to do is another issue). If you create a private world, you could do the same thing to people in it.

4BS, we do understand your frustration. We have already taken away the power for private world owners to edit players' cash in their worlds due to abuse. We would like to avoid taking away the power for the owners to delete players because that would take away the power for them to uphold their own world specifc rules. Abuse of delete player is quite rare. This is actually only the third time that we have received such a complaint since the launch of private worlds. Adding a password to a PW is free at this time, and that should prevent owners from deleting players that were not invited. Nevertheless, we might consider adding some mechanism to prevent abuse from happening.

Thank you CHR and dktc for the information and suggestions. I guess the best way to avoid this is to send a request to join a PW regardless it has or does not have a password.

See you guys!
