Bugs / [Fixed] In-game forum error message
« on: January 11, 2015, 01:59:11 pm »
Hi there. I created PW #2966 earlier this week but seem to be unable to use the in-game forum. When I click on the 'New forum posts' link, it gives me this message:

Table 'airlinem_airlinemogul.zworld0_message_board' doesn't exist

Any idea why this is happening?

General Chat / PW#2912 - Randomly got reset out of the blue
« on: January 02, 2015, 03:02:38 pm »
I'm absolutely livid writing this message. I play in PW#2912 as China Airways (as some of you may have seen my visual airline reports here) and all was going well up to now. I was one of the top 3 airlines and had a number of aircraft on order. This morning I logged in and I have been randomly reset back to nothing! All my routes are closed, aircraft is gone and everything I have worked on so far is totally lost!

I contacted the world owner but he has not responded so not sure if he was the one who did the reset but I have noticed that both the airlines based in China (another and myself) were reset. Not to raise suspicion but we were both in the top 3 airlines of the world and another airline (the owner of this world's airline) started operations in Beijing where we were already really strong - is it just me or does this sound a bit dodgy and did he purposely reset both me and the other guy so he can 'take over' in China? Or can this by some sort of chance be a technical game glitch/error?

As you can imagine I am furious! I have been playing AM for nearly 5 years now and never has this happened to me before. I am fuming especially since I was doing so well and really enjoyed doing the airline reports. If this guy did reset me maliciously, does this not go against the game ethics and behaviour of players towards others? Not a happy lad right now and I hope someone at AM will be able to provide me with some answers and/or feedback on this situation.

Game Strategy / Ideal leasing formula
« on: December 08, 2014, 11:58:34 am »
Has anyone worked out the ideal leasing formula? Currently in the world I am playing I am in a financial position to support the smaller/new airlines by leasing aircraft to them but I have no idea how to calculate the leasing amount. To avoid randomly putting in a number, is there any specific formula or way to go about leasing out aircraft? In the past I have literally just thought of a number and hoped for the best but want to do something that makes sense. Any help will be appreciated!  :)

General Chat / EgyptAir vs Etihad Airways?
« on: October 26, 2009, 11:32:42 am »
I need to book a flight for mid-December '09 and after having made several enquiries I found two flights that are affordable but both airlines I have never flown with.

The one is with EgyptAir via Cairo to London Heathrow and the other one is Etihad Airways via Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow. I have never been on a flight of either airline and did some research online before I book. There seems to be alot of complaints and bad reviews on EgyptAir, especially that they are using ancient aircraft on their routes and better one's for Etihad, however some people have space issues on-board, not happy with the food, etc.

Has anyone ever made use of either of these airlines before and if you did, what was your experience like?

[+] Suggestions / [+] Limit Aircraft Market postings
« on: September 29, 2009, 07:20:17 am »
I have been thinking about the Aircraft Market postings. Some airlines (not brokers, just normal airlines) purchase 50 aircraft and shifts it directly onto the market to sell at a profit. Now, I for one get kinda annoyed when there are 50 listings of the same aircraft of the same price listed and I am sure some other people do too, so here is my thought:

I have a suggestion to put a limit on amount of listings per airline. For instance, if one airline lists 50 aircraft (which has been happening in alot of the worlds) and its not a broker, it takes up loads of space on the market page and you sometimes end up having to page through pages of listings to view all the market listings. If a limit is set, say a max of 5 or 7 listings per airline, it will give all airlines the same amount of exposure on the market and its fair to everyone.

Maybe have a seperate part for broker listings, possibly have a drop-down menu where you select either the 'Public listings' or 'Broker listings'.

Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Bugs / Mass Sell Aircraft page info
« on: September 23, 2009, 07:00:49 am »
I have noticed the last few times that there seems to be an info-bug when you go to mass sell aircraft page.

It seems to have the wrong info on the aircraft that you want to sell.

Example:

Aircraft A - Value and age displayed on 'View Aircraft' page would be €xxx, xxx, xxx and age would be z. When you click on mass sell aircraft, it displays all the aircraft that has not been deployed. However the information is completely different to the 'View Aircraft' page. It sometimes increases the age with at least 2+ years and sometimes the value drops by thousands. Has anyone else noticed this?

Is this a possible bug? Since there is 2 different areas with information that is not the same, how do we know which info on the aircraft is correct?
