KLOT
KLUK
KGBG
KPWK

None of these have commercial scheduled service...  Of these only KPWK has a FIS facility.

I've watched enough BizJets come out of KPWK to last me a lifetime. We used to have a place beside it. :)

If this is the standard.. then why shouldn't Chicago Meigs be added??  I took a flight from there to KSQI....(on the Original Great Lakes)

Or if Biz-jet traffic is all that is the standard is.. Why not SQI, or KDKB...

What about all the EAS airports in the D-base? They don't see jets at all...

KDUG....
Here is their wiki entry(ya I know burden of proof... but its what I found quickly)

Bisbee-Douglas International Airport (IATA: DUG, ICAO: KDUG) is a general aviation airport located about ten miles (15 km) north of Douglas near Bisbee, in Cochise County, Arizona, USA. The airport has four runways, two of which are closed. The airport is adjacent to an Arizona State Prison complex

Yet they are in the DB with a 250k passenger number....  When I brought this up several monthes ago.. It was brushed off.[/b]

A...Most of us have NO public transportation what so ever...cant just hop a bus or train to go across town.
B...Things are very spread out, a lot of us where I'm at have at least a 15-20 mile drive to work every day.
C...Wages are completely different.  Europe's high prices have an impact on the normal worker just as much as they do here even though there is nearly a $4 difference per gallon.

I know from what I'm going through at the moment, having an old 1/2 ton truck for work.  The higher the price of gas goes the more it hurts.  Currently...about $140 a week...JUST for work...I get about 15-20 miles to the gallon depending on length of the drive (highway or stop and go through town) and if loaded, or pulling a trailer.  People say to get a little car, not everyone has the option...If I didn't have a truck I wouldn't have a job.  4 years ago it only took about $45 MAX a week.  My wage has barely moved since then, maybe a whole $20 more per week...but gas now costs me nearly $150 a week on average.  Thats a little over 1/2 my pay check after taxes were taken out :x  With the cost of everything going up more and more how are we expected to make it.  When driving is your only option for work the price at the pump pretty much just says bend over :?

Some places have it made...Spending 3 weeks in Taiwan I was amazed by the public transportation...we were able to get to anywhere from anywhere by either a bus or train.  Only rode in a car 3 times in those weeks...two times was to and from the airport...and then a 3 day trip clear around the island.  Mopeds got us around Chung-Li most of the time.

Would never see that kind of transportation system here, not even in the big cities I've been too, like Chicago.  Some of it exists...but its not really effective from what I've seen  :?

This is not experienced outside the US, because we have governments that are just a little bit socialist. (in denmark, just under 50%) They looks at the demands for everybody.

Actually the public transport system in Chicago is pretty effective for being drastically underfunded....   Government has nothing to do with in the US... What you are completely ignoring is the distances traveled and the size of the cities...   Is there reliable, effective transport from small towns to other small towns that doesn't include trips to a larger town, or being restricted to rail lines???   I live roughly 15 miles from the closest Greyhound Bus stop.  They have two buses per day.  One headed east and one headed west.   I live 50 miles from a commuter train stop and 75 miles from a long haul train stop.  The closest commerical service airport is 35 miles, but service there is limited.  Now my office is 15 miles from my home and I live in a town of 1500 people.  There is simply no economical way to provide a service, whether it be buses, vans, sedans, etc. in these situations..  In the US, there are THOUSANDS of situations like this...

Here let me use a source that I can go change at the whims of any idiot on the internet.....

Especially when the FAA has all of the OFFICAL numbers published.

Airport directors have a scary tendency to fudge numbers for press releases.  Many times their contracts have incentives based on the passenger numbers for their airport, or they are trying to get voters to approve a new package for some project.  Or just some idiot changed a Wikipedia number...
