[-] Suggestions / Re: Aircraft Overhaul/Refurbish Suggestion

Great idea, in the real world the longer anything goes with out maintenance the greater the risk of a breakdown, if this was brought in then everyone would have to get all aircraft checked or end up with their fleet grounded.  This would help smaller airlines as well as the larger ones would be able to lease out and sell the older aircraft cheaply to the smaller ones without bankrupting the smaller ones on maintenance cost for those older aircraft, lets face it we still have aircraft flying that are hitting 60 years plus thanks to dedicated enthusiasts keeping the likes of the DC 3 up and running for air shows and many third world countries have older planes as well, parts may not be available, but they produce them when then need them.  Every aircraft has a life span as well so although there is a withdrawn from service for new planes of that type, every aircraft could also have a service life viewable on the purchase, when the aircraft gets to that age to has to be scrapped no matter if you have serviced it or not.  Each service thats done on the aircraft should have a lesser effect on its cycle dependent on the aircrafts age, so if the life of the aircraft is 30 years and after 5 years you service it its almost like new, but if it is 28 years old then the service will see it to scrap age, but the maintenance costs would be as if it was say 25 years old.

Brand name has an effect in RL on this aspect as well, who would fly Bob Air no matter what the plane if they could fly the same flight at the same price with say RyanAir - an established brand name known by many, but ppl would fly Bob Air and after a time that would become a recognized brand, but only if the flights were on time and service was good. If you want to have an effect in game on passenger appeal then it needs to link in with the brand(airline) name and the service it offers. No matter how many planes you start with, your brand won't be recognized at first until you get a reputation and only then will you realistically fill planes to the max.

Nice idea, but IF class is added then you are looking at a whole different dimension as well.  Some place may have a higher or lower  number of 1st class, business class or economy class passengers, also load factors for planes would need to display for each class type for the aircraft as well as it's combined total, which could be done right now under the current system i think, as well as per airport.  We already know the number of possible passengers at each city - just need to see if that can be calculated into class type with a fluctuation on that which would allow for economy changes with int he city/country, if a city hits harder times then you will see a boost in economy flights - everyone loves a bargain, but when the economy is good then the luxury of 1st class will be affordable - this gives a 2nd challenge of the price structure and would also allow for more choice on airline type - budget airlines to executive travel, if you set yourself up as a budget airline could you attract high paying fares if you put in 1st class flights?  Your airline is your brand, once others know your a no frills budget airway just how hard would it be to fill a plane for 1st class and business?  Of course having this aspect in game would allow more better or different use of small fast planes which could be fitted out as 1st class/business only planes which could also have a knock on effect to the carry all airlines, but pick up the slack from the budget airline routes.
