« on: May 17, 2010, 05:34:47 pm »Norwalk, IA (AP)- Des Moines-based Regional Airways (NYSE RGA) has changed its name after adding routes outside of the "regional area". The newly formed company is Regional-Midwestern (NYSE RMD). With the expansion outside the region, the airline has also purchased a larger, more suiting space south of Des Moines International Airport in the suburb of Norwalk.
Executives say that as the airline grows the company will operate two seperate divisions of Regional-Midwestern, Regional Airways- Midwestern Connection and Midwestern, with service to larger, more popular cities.
Currently the airline flies under its Regional Airways brand from Des Moines to: Omaha/ Eppley Airfield, St Louis, Minneapolis, Chicago/Midway and Sioux Falls.
It flies under its Midwestern brand to: Denver, Memphis, Minneapolis, Chicago/Midways, and Milwaukee
